Projection Art
A selection of projection artworks developed and exhibited during the Centre of Projection Art Residency
Developed during my residency with the Centre of Projection Art, Waterways is a projection-based work that explores Melbourne’s hidden water ecologies and their continuing presence beneath the urban landscape. Using layered watercolour, ink, and saltwater techniques, the work mimics the shifting behaviour of natural water systems, evoking the historical flow of rivers, wetlands, and floodplains. Projected at Federation Square and later adapted for the More Than exhibition at Collingwood Yards, Waterways invites viewers to consider the city's natural histories not as vanished, but as living systems that persist and reassert themselves. The work encourages a reimagining of place—one that honours ecological memory and our evolving relationship with land and water.
